A pilot model today, a group ecosystem tomorrow
Experience gained with the two pillars should, in time, prepare the group’s other businesses: digital services, matchmaking and Madagascar–Canada trade. Any diversification will remain subject to results, partnerships and investment capacity.

An integrated model
The model combines preparing and supporting expeditions with on-site services: accommodation, catering, equipment and logistics. This combination diversifies revenue and can encourage longer stays.
Complementary audiences could spread activity more evenly over the year. Economic viability will have to be demonstrated through pilot missions, a documented cost analysis, commercial partnerships and investments matched to real demand.
Expected revenue streams
- Scientific circuits and stays
- Organising and coordinating university missions
- Logistics for expeditions and field teams
- Accommodation, catering and stay services
- Rental of spaces and, where relevant, equipment
- Specialised scientific and territorial support
- Themed stays for retirees and science enthusiasts
Territorial development and economic sovereignty
Scientific circuits involve guides, transport operators, hosts, caterers and field specialists. Hospitality bases can create jobs, stimulate local suppliers, build skills and lengthen stays.
Scientific collaborations can contribute to training, to documenting territories and to the circulation of knowledge, on terms agreed with Malagasy partners and institutions.
Ensuring Madagascar is not merely a place to be observed, but a full participant in organising and adding value to the activities generated by its scientific and natural heritage.
The project does not start from a mere travel idea: it rests on a scientific and operational reading of the territory, backed by founding expertise in geology, geomatics and institutional responsibilities in Madagascar.

Gradual, disciplined growth
Step 1
Prove the scientific model
Pilot circuits with MDCBridge Discovery and Science & Expeditions; hosting solutions, then the first MDCBridge Scientific Hospitality bases as demand grows.
Step 2
Build digital services
Study MDCBridge Digital Comptoir as an interface for presenting, booking, matchmaking and promoting territorial offers.
Step 3
Broaden economic exchange
Assess launching MDCBridge Trade for Madagascar–Canada business relations, separate from the initial scientific services.
Three outcomes sought from the first step
- A high-quality scientific and human experience for visitors.
- Lasting economic activity for host territories.
- Stronger local knowledge, skills and capacity.
The group’s ambition is broad; its launch must stay focused, credible and measurable.
